I was born with a disease that makes my face look different. Because of this I get bullied a lot. I don't look the same as everyone else. People stare at me all the time, but I am used to it now.
My mom has finally let me go to school. I was really nervous at first and did not want to go. The school wasn't as bad as I thought. I already made two friends, Jack Will and Charlotte, they showed me around the school. There was another kid though, his name was Julian. Julian was rude and made fun of me. Jack and Charlotte both got mad at Julian for being mean to me.
I got home after the tour and told my mom about Julian. She seemed really shocked and I can tell that she doesn't want me to go to school. I tell her that it will be okay.
The next day I went to school and everyone was staring at me, so i decided not to look at anyone. During lunch I met a girl named Summer. We became friends instantly.
On Halloween, my mom made me a Boba Fett costume. But I didn't have enough time to put it on before school, so i put on my costume from last year. When I went to school, nobody recognised me because I was wearing a different costume. I heard Jack saying something to Julian. I lean in closer and heard Jack saying "the friendship thing? it was all Mr.Tushman's idea: I mean, the thing is: he always follows me around." I got so upset that I ran to the bathroom and threw up.
The next couple of days I was really mad at Jack. He emailed me and asked me what's wrong. I told him about the talk with Julian and he said ''I didn't mean it. I was only saying it so i didn't get beat-up'' I decided that we are friends again . We met at my house and played video games. Julian was trying to turn the whole school against me because he thinks Jack and I are being forced to be friends.
I went on a field trip to the nature reserve, we stayed there for two nights and three days. Fifth, sixth, and seventh graders were able to go. My mom helped me pack up and I gave her one of my stuffed animals to hug if she ever misses me. Jack and I walked around a little bit and then we sat down to watch a movie. During the movie, Jack tells me that he needs to use the bathroom, so I decided to go with him. All of a sudden some seventh graders walk up to me and start taunting me and pushing me around.
Out of nowhere, Julian's friends, Henry, Amos, and Miles pop up and tell the seventh graders to stop bullying us. When they don't stop, Miles punched the seventh grader! We all ran until we got back to the movie.
When we got back home, I told everyone about the fight with the seventh graders. My mom looked worried and then my dad came home from work with a puppy. We took the day off from school and played with him.
When I returned to school everyone was talking to me and noticed that Julian is bullying me. Julian left the school because he didn't want to be in a school with me. The next day is the last day of school, and the awards assembly. I won the biggest trophy for all of my bravery against bullies!
